Job Overview Join our dedicated early childhood education team as a Substitute Preschool Teacher Aide! In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. Whether assisting with daily activities, supervising children, or implementing educational programs, your contribution will be essential to our mission of supporting early childhood development and educational excellence. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and positive behavior. Support classroom management by encouraging appropriate behavior and applying behavior management techniques in accordance with school policies. Help prepare educational materials and set up learning stations using computers and educational technologies to enhance student engagement. Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and guardians about student progress, needs, and behavioral concerns to foster a collaborative learning environment. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance as directed by the lead teacher or specialists. Assist in documenting student progress through proofreading reports, tutoring sessions, or mentoring activities to support ongoing development. Experience Previous experience working with young children in early childhood education settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is advantageous. Familiarity with classroom behavior management strategies and educational compliance standards is essential. Experience collaborating with teachers, supporting literacy education, math instruction, or tutoring is beneficial. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or must be obtained prior to employment. We can help with certification requirements.
