$19.01 to 25.07/upon experience ECEAP Part-Time Paraprofessional Duties and Responsibilities The ECEAP classroom Paraprofessional, assists the Lead Paraprofessional in providing a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that will provide for social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of children in care. Under the guidance of the Lead Paraprofessional, this position makes one on one contact with children, parents and Winlock students providing developmentally appropriate guidance/practices. The position has responsibility in supporting compliance of Licensing, Early Achievers and the early childhood component of the ECEAP Performance Standards. Assist with set-up, clean-up, sanitization and presentation of classroom and outdoor activities; Organize materials needed for classroom activities; Store and maintain education materials and equipment; Assist in serving and cleaning up after snacks and meals; Assist with child guidance; Assist and supervise children during all activities throughout the day; Model appropriate behavior for children; Use developmentally appropriate communication skills; Contribute to maintaining a healthy and safe classroom environment Maintain confidentiality in accordance with EarlyECEAP/ECEAP
Performance Standards; Follows appropriate food handling procedures during meal times; Assist kitchen staff to prepare, deliver and retrieve food carts with items needed for meals/snacks and field trips; Assist children on/off the bus, engage with students during route, support the bus driver with communication as needed and communicate information from parents to lead teacher as needed; Keep accurate records of daily attendance and USDA eligible meals served; Maintains awareness of children's special dietary needs, assuring substitutions are provided as appropriate; May assist in children's self-help skills; May assist children in modeling family style eating routines; Cleans up after meals. Sanitizes tables where children ate, the food prep area. Disposes of food waste using appropriate container; Cleans and sanitizes classrooms including cleaning and disinfecting tables, counters, sweeping, mopping, and or vacuuming floors, and cleaning and sanitizing restrooms; Empties garbage, trash and recycle containers as needed; Performs periodic cleaning of cupboards, high and low dusting, cleaning insides windows, and other general center cleaning tasks assigned; May wash, dry, fold and put away laundered items; May assist staff with cleanup activities from the classroom; Show interest in furthering professional growth Attend team meetings, trainings, workshops and seminars. May assume duties of assistant teacher when they are absent. May assume duties of lead teacher when assigned assistant teacher and lead teacher are both absent. Perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications 2 Classified Reference Forms or Letters of Recommendation HS Diploma or Transcripts OR GED Diploma or Transcripts Transcripts for: Associate of Arts degree; or showing 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at an institution of higher education; or showing a passing grade of 461 or higher for the ETS Para Pro Assessment Prior job-related experience paid or volunteer with school-age children Skills to perform basic clerical functions, perform basic arithmetic calculations, operate standard office equipment, use English in verbal and written form, use correct grammar, punctuation and spelling. Knowledge of principles of child development, instructional processes. Portable Background Check clearance with the Department of Children, Youth and Families via MERIT Proof of negative TB test taken within 12 months prior to initial employment date Proof of immunization for MMR OR proof of immunity Right Response or CPI Certification.RESPONSIBLE TO AND EVALUATION BY
