Part-Time Taekwondo Assistant Instructor (W-2)

Salary:
$28.00+ per hour (Commensurate with experience) About Us Our studio is a vibrant and energetic space dedicated to teaching confidence, discipline, and respect to children and adults through the practice of Taekwondo. We strive to inspire our students to achieve their full potential both on and off the mat. Job Summary We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and motivated Part-Time Taekwondo Assistant Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will support the Master in leading classes, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment for students, and assisting with daily studio operations.
Schedule & Availability Standard Shift Hours:
Monday•
Friday:
4:00 PM•9:00
PM Saturday:
9:00 AM•12:40
PM Note:
Specific work days and exact hours are negotiable and can be adjusted based on mutual availability. Must be able to work at least 3 days a week .
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Taekwondo Experience:
Prior experience in Taekwondo training is required.
Martial Arts Credentials:
Must hold at least a 1st Degree Kukkiwon Black Belt (Official Certification).
Technical Proficiency:
Complete mastery of Taegeuk Poomsae (Forms 1-8) and fundamental Taekwondo techniques (e.g., Front Kick, Side Kick, Back Kick, and basic strikes).
Commitment:
Must be looking for a long-term opportunity with a commitment of 1 year or more . Preferred Qualifications (Plus Factors):
Soft Skills & Teaching Style:
Highly energetic, possesses a loud and clear commanding voice, and is confident teaching/leading a class in front of large groups.
Certifications:
Holds a 2nd Degree Kukkiwon Black Belt or higher.
Experience:
Prior experience teaching or coaching children. Previous experience as a Taekwondo Instructor/Assistant. Experience in customer service, student engagement, or parent communication.
Language Skills:
Knowledge of basic Korean terms used in Taekwondo classes (e.g., greetings, counting, basic commands).
Flexibility:
Full availability to work across the entire Monday through Saturday schedule.
Benefits & Compensation Competitive Pay:
$28.00/hour minimum (Starting rate depends on teaching experience and martial arts background).
Retirement Benefits:
401(k) matching eligibility available for employees who stay over 1 year AND work 90+ hours per month.

Successful candidates must pass a mandatory criminal background check prior to employment to ensure a safe environment for our students.
