Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Temporary Part Time Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support early childhood development and foster a nurturing learning environment for young children. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with lead educators to implement engaging lesson plans, support classroom activities, and promote positive behavior among students. This position is ideal for passionate individuals eager to make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys while gaining valuable classroom experience.
Child Care Assistant Teacher Duties:
Works under the supervision of the child care teacher. Provide care and protection of children to meet their individual needs. Aid children during day. Greet children when they arrive at center and oversee departures. Share housekeeping responsibilities with the teacher and ensure that all toys, tables, chairs, art materials, bathroom and office areas are kept clean and orderly on a daily basis. Perform related duties as assigned by teacher or director. Work Monday-Friday as schedule by director. Assistant Teacher reports to the director and the teacher.Requirements of all staff members:
Obtain within 3 months after beginning work and every 2 years thereafter a certificate of completion for infant, toddlers and adults in CPR, first aid and AED training. Within one week after beginning work and every 2 years thereafter complete training in child abuse and neglect reporting requirements. Obtain and maintain a certificate from The Registry documenting that they have met the educational qualifications for their current position. Conform to health, safety, and educational requirements, as outlined in the regulations of the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. Complete at least 15 hours of Continuing Education annually. Staff members shall pay for their continuing education up front. After completion of the class/course submit proof to the director to taking the class course. At that time, staff will be reimbursed up to $100/year towards continuing education. Shall be kind, warm, caring, friendly, patient, and work easily with children. Must work well with and be sensitive to the needs of children, parents, and others. Must complete all staff forms required by the DCF. Attend monthly staff meetings.Job Types:
