Community Builders Childcare in Appleton, WI is looking for a passionate and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our team! Responsibilities:

Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities Supervise and engage children in a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities Follow all childcare licensing regulations, safety protocols, and center policies Assist with meal times, nap times, and daily routines

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patient, dependable, and genuinely passionate about child development Ability to pass a background check per Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
