Salary:
Starting at $16.50
Schedule:
35 hours/week (M-F 8:00 am•3:30 pm)
Qualifications:
High School Diploma. Preference for training in or willing to be trained in any of the following: Restorative Practices, NCI, Youth Mental Health, Reframing Behaviors Make a difference at McKinley! Our staff is dedicated to ensuring a supportive environment where students are taught to be safe, responsible and respectful. What you'll do The Health Room Paraprofessional supports students and staff by assisting with daily health care needs and ensuring a safe school environment. Working closely with the school nurse, this role includes administering medication, documenting health office visits, and supervising students in the health room. Responsibilities also involve maintaining health records, ordering and organizing supplies, and assisting with vision and dental screenings in partnership with community organizations. Training in medication administration and nonviolent crisis intervention is required or must be obtained through the district. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to maintain confidentiality, and work effectively as part of a team. The LMC/Recess-Instructional Paraprofessional supports teachers and library media staff by performing clerical tasks, assisting with instructional activities, and supervising students in various school settings. Responsibilities include maintaining library records, organizing materials, helping with technology and assessments, and providing one-on-one or small group student support under teacher guidance. This role also involves supervising students during recess, lunch, hallways, and other activities to ensure a safe and positive environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 48 college credits, and be willing to train in instructional technology and de-escalation strategies. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this position, along with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic school environment. Click here for a full job description.
