Job Description

Assistant Teacher Living Christ Early Learning Center | Madison, WI Position Summary Living Christ Early Learning Center is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting children's growth and development while helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young children, values teamwork, and is committed to providing high-quality care and education. The ideal candidate is positive, flexible, and eager to build strong relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Responsibilities Assist Lead Teachers in implementing daily classroom activities and routines Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Engage with children through play, learning activities, and daily interactions Assist with meals, snacks, toileting, diapering, and nap routines as needed Supervise children and ensure their safety at all times Help prepare classroom materials and learning activities Support positive behavior guidance and classroom management practices Communicate professionally with families and team members Follow all center policies and Wisconsin childcare licensing regulations Attend staff meetings and training opportunities as required Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous childcare experience preferred Wisconsin Registry credentials preferred or willingness to obtain Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work effectively with children, families, and coworkers Dependable, professional, and positive attitude Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Loves working with young children Is dependable and reliable Enjoys being part of a team Is patient, nurturing, and engaging Can adapt to changing classroom needs Takes initiative and is willing to help wherever needed Understands the importance of building positive relationships with children and families Why Join Our Team?
