Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated educational team as a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year! In this vital role, you will support students with diverse learning needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism, and other special needs. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create an inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive. Duties Assist certified teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. Support students with disabilities by facilitating communication and promoting literacy and math skills through engaging lesson plans. Manage classroom behavior and implement behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment. Support students during classroom activities, including curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional support in literacy education and numeracy. Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and maintaining a safe, inclusive space for children with diverse needs. Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and families to monitor progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed. Requirements Prior experience working with children in classroom settings, especially within special education or private school environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or communication challenges. Familiarity with IEP processes and implementing accommodations for students with special needs. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, parents, and students. Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including preschoolers and toddlers. Passion for teaching and supporting children's growth through engaging activities such as literacy education, math instruction, and childcare. Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
