9684741-53949 Job Description Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting young learners in a collaborative school environment! This contract role is focused on providing vital assistance to early childhood students (PreK-2nd grade) and is designed for individuals passionate about special education. Youll work closely with educators to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing setting.
Key Qualifications:
Current Wisconsin Special Education Paraprofessional Certification is required. Experience supporting PreK-2nd grade students, particularly those with diverse learning needs. Strong communication, patience, and adaptability in varied classroom situations. Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and families. Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Main Responsibilities:
Offer one-on-one and small group support to 1-3 early childhood students with special needs. Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), modifying instructional materials, and reinforcing learning objectives. Help students develop social skills and maintain classroom routines. Support classroom management and foster a safe, welcoming atmosphere. Collaborate closely with teaching staff to monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed. Attend relevant meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. This position is structured as a contract role, 5.5 hours per day, five days per week, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year.
