Assistant Daycare Teacher

Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote early childhood education and developmental milestones Support children with activities that encourage social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and well-being Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards Engage with children using age-appropriate teaching methods, including storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational games Support behavioral management strategies to promote positive interactions among children Collaborate with team members to monitor individual needs, especially for children requiring special education or additional support due to disabilities or developmental delays Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hiring Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus Strong classroom management skills coupled with patience and empathy for young learners Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and responsibility Excellent communication skills to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues This role is perfect for passionate individuals eager to support early childhood growth in a lively environment.
