Job Description

The Tigerton School District is looking for a hardworking, personable individual to join our staff as an Elementary Administrative Assistant. This is a school year, part-time position, approximately 20-25 hours per week. This dynamic role serves as a pillar for all students, staff, and families. The successful candidate will have many responsibilities related to the orderly operation of the school office. Duties (include, but not limited to, the following): Maintain student records/state reporting Manage the district's Skyward student management system Utilize SEEDS to create IEP invites/forms Perform customer service activities such as screening and routing incoming calls and communicating positively and effectively with student, parent, and staff issues Under the clinical supervision of the School Nurse, administer first aid and medications to students Order, prepare, and oversee all purchasing for the Elem building Assist the Principal with student discipline and other assigned tasks Schedule student services meetings with families and staff Manage and monitor student attendance, send truancy letters and schedule truancy meetings Schedule buses for field trips and school activities Other school or district-level responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Previous secretarial experience Strong organizational and communication skills Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Google applications, and Skyward Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment An understanding of the importance of confidentiality in a school/office environment First Aid/CPR training preferred Start date: 8/24/26
