This full-time contract opportunity focuses on providing assistance in a vibrant special education classroom. As a Special Education Educational Assistant, you'll collaborate closely with teachers and staff to ensure students receive the individualized attention they need to succeed.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in an educational assistant role is highly valued Knowledge of special education practices, particularly at the elementary level Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and families Must be eligible and willing to obtain DPI paraprofessional certification (guidance provided if needed) Reliable, patient, and adaptable to the dynamic needs of young learners Strong communication and teamwork skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Support student learning and engagement in accordance with individualized education plans Assist lead teachers with instructional activities and classroom management Foster an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment for all students Assist students with daily routines and adaptive skills as needed Communicate regularly with classroom teachers regarding student progress Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a professional demeanor at all times

Schedule:
