Competitive hourly rate (based on education and experience) About TrueChange Family Services TrueChange Family Services LLC partners with the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) to provide community-based support services that empower parents, protect children, and strengthen families. Our team delivers Supervised Visitations , Parenting and Life Skills Education , and 24/7 Temporary Lodging Support for youth and families across West Virginia. Position Summary The ASO Paraprofessional (Contractor) provides direct support to families involved with DHHR programs. This role promotes safety, stability, and growth by teaching life skills, modeling positive parenting, and ensuring child well-being during supervised visits. As a 1099 Independent Contractor , you will have flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work part-time or full-time hours based on availability and client need. Responsibilities Conduct Supervised Visitations between parents and children in a safe, structured environment. Teach and model appropriate parenting, communication, and coping strategies. Assist clients in developing Life Skills , such as budgeting, household routines, employment readiness, and hygiene. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Utilization Management (UM) Guidelines and DHHR standards. Submit visit notes, attendance logs, and progress reports promptly. Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding client progress and safety concerns. Provide safe, reliable transportation for clients when required. Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct at all times.
Qualifications Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience working with children, families, or in social services preferred. Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Must be dependable, compassionate, and professional. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required. Must pass background and protective service checks. Schedule Flexible scheduling (day, evening, and weekend shifts). Part-time and full-time contract opportunities available.
