Job Description

Sheridan's newest high quality Child Care Center, Miss Tanya's Happy Campers Pre-K Learning Center, is now hiring for a part time and Summer Teachers. Happy Campers is looking for mature, responsible, hard-working, individuals with a good work ethics and positive attitudes. The candidates must love working with young children (2 to 5 years of age). Although experience in Early Childhood Education is not required for this position, it is preferred. The potential candidates must be willing to work Monday through Friday, with some flexibility due to absences of children and other staff members. Applicants must be over 18 years of age to be considered and have their own reliable transportation to and from work. Helping Co-Teachers during all parts of the day Interacting with children 2-5 years of age, with a fun-loving positive attitude Singing, dancing, playing with children and staff Maintaining mandated ratios at all times Maintaining safety expectations and standards at all times Maintaining a clean, pleasant, tidy environment with the willingness to clean, set up activities, change diapers and pull-ups, sweep, mop, and more Assisting Teachers with classroom behavior management and expectations Supervising children at all times Communicating with staff and families Assisting in tracking children's developmental progress Maintaining confidentiality on site and within the community Agreeing to complete required trainings and further continuing education opportunities Modeling positive behaviors Respecting the dignity and basic rights of each child and staff members Willingness to work entire scheduled shifts Maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, strong, driven, work ethic at all times Standing Sitting on and getting up from the floor Rubbing backs at naptime Lifting up to 45 lbs Frequent walking Joining in light Gross Motor activities Dancing and Movement Activities 18 years of age or older, able to pass background check, ability to pass random drug/alcohol screenings
