Job Summary Estrella Mountain Community College's (EMCC) Biology Department is seeking (2) two highly motivated and proactive Embedded Biology Coaches to support students enrolled in Introductory Biology for Allied Health (BIO 156, in-person). Embedded Biology Coaches will primarily provide support during class sessions by assisting students with course content and learning strategies. Coaches are also expected to offer additional support outside of class through one-on-one coaching and small-group study sessions as needed. Training and instructional materials will be provided. No prior coaching or tutoring experience is required.

- Assist students with lecture and lab-related content and activities in the classroom 20%
- Assist student comprehension with weekly topic-specific study sessions 20%
- Work collaboratively with the course instructor to assist all students but especially "at-risk" students. Weekly meetings with the course instructor. 10%
