Our educators help students build confidence, strengthen foundational knowledge, and master advanced concepts in mathematics and science. We are looking for professionals who are passionate about helping high school students succeed through individualized instruction tailored to each student's learning style, academic needs, and goals. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one tutoring for high school students (Grades 9-12) in mathematics and/or science Support students in subjects including Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science Assist with homework, study skills, executive functioning, and test preparation, including AP courses and SAT/ACT math and science-related content when appropriate Develop individualized learning plans based on each student's needs and academic goals Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to families Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment Travel to students' homes throughout the Northern Los Angeles area Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, Engineering, or a related field required; teaching credential or advanced degree preferred Valid California teaching credential or equivalent is highly preferred Experience teaching or tutoring high school mathematics and/or science Strong knowledge of high school math and science curriculum and instructional best practices Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt instruction to diverse learning needs Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Reliable transportation Authorized to work in the United States What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation Flexible scheduling based on your availability Ongoing professional support Meaningful, long-term relationships with students and families The opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' academic success Schedule & Availability Tutors create their own schedules based on availability and student demand.
