Position Overview Are you passionate about education and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children? Middle Tree is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced K-8 Tutor to provide individualized academic support and enrichment to K-8 students. This is an appointment-based tutoring position , with tutoring sessions scheduled based on student needs. We are specifically looking for candidates who are reliably available Monday through Thursday between 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM . The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, strong communication skills, and the ability to tailor instruction to meet the individual learning needs of each student. Schedule & Availability Monday-Thursday Availability required between 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM Appointment-based tutoring sessions scheduled according to student needs Candidates should have consistent availability during these afternoon/evening hours Additional hours may be available based on student demand and scheduling needs Responsibilities Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions to K-8 students. Develop personalized learning plans based on each student's academic strengths, needs, and goals. Support students in mastering core subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. Use engaging and interactive instructional methods to promote student participation, understanding, and confidence. Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed. Communicate with supervisors regarding student progress, challenges, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with Center Manager to align tutoring activities with classroom curriculum and student learning objectives. Foster a positive, encouraging, and supportive learning environment. Utilize educational resources, materials, and technology to enhance student learning. Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and assessment results. Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled tutoring appointments. Build positive relationships with students while maintaining a professional and supportive tutoring environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Elementary Education, or a related field preferred . Prior experience working with elementary and/or middle school students, preferably in a tutoring or teaching capacity. Strong understanding of K-8 curriculum and instructional strategies. Ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles, academic levels, and individual student needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. Reliable and punctual with strong follow-through for scheduled appointments.
