Job Description
Job description We provide affordable small-group tutoring, plus coaching in executive function and leadership. We serve 4th-12th graders from many different schools across West LA County and the South Bay. We have a lovely learning community with a highly professional team (former or current classroom teachers) and a few supporting interns. Our setting is a supportive laboratory for developing your pedagogy and instructional experience. If you are out of the classroom at this time, this is an ideal environment for staying involved in teaching. We serve most of our students for several school years, and it's very rewarding to get to know them and their families. There is a strong mentorship and relationship-building component to our work. We are looking for teachers at both locations to start immediately in long-term positions on our team. These are in-person teaching and curriculum development positions at our centers in Culver City and Manhattan Beach. There would be lighter/flexible hours and training in June/July, then steady/mandatory hours starting in August and throughout the school year. Pay range $32-35 hourly to start. We have four part-time positions for 10-12 hours per week to start in the Fall, with the potential for more hours for someone who also wants to take on leadership, admin and communications roles along with teaching. We offer health insurance and retirement benefits if you work at least an average of 30 hours per week.
