Student Mentorship Pay:
$17.00/hr (training) up to $22.00/hr
Location:
Diamond Bar, CA Schedule:
Monday-Friday, approximately 3:00 PM-7:00 PM (Hours may vary based on assignment) Help Students Build Confidence, Responsibility, and Academic Success School-Connection is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Afterschool Teachers to support K-8 students in a structured academic environment. Our mission is to help students achieve academic excellence while developing the study habits, confidence, and personal responsibility needed for long-term success. This position is ideal for aspiring educators, current college students, recent graduates, and individuals who enjoy working with children and making a meaningful impact on their academic growth. About School-Connection For over 25 years, School-Connection has provided high-quality academic support programs that help students build strong foundations in math, reading, writing, organization, and study skills. We partner with families to create a supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally. Responsibilities Supervise and assist students with daily homework assignments Provide individualized academic support in math, reading, writing, and other subjects Monitor student progress and encourage accountability for assignments and deadlines Lead group instruction and academic review activities Assist with test preparation, study skills, and organizational strategies Maintain a structured, focused, and positive learning environment Provide daily written feedback to parents through our online parent portal regarding student progress, behavior, and academic performance Support enrichment activities and special academic programs as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality student support Our Approach to Teaching At School-Connection, we believe that great educators do more than help students complete assignments.
