This job will require commuting to students' homes or other public spaces like libraries and coffee shops for in-person instruction. Tutor will need to have a valid drivers license. Tutors are compensated for commute times of 15min between teaching locations. This position is ideal for those with another full time job seeking supplemental income past typical 9-5 work hours or for students looking for a flexible part-time work schedule. Must be able to work two weekdays 3hr each day Must be able to work one weekend day for a 4hr block Must be able to commute to students' homes for private classes Be able to work 6-10hr weekly if needed Duties Assess individual student needs and develop tailored lesson plans to meet their learning objectives. Support students with special education needs by adapting teaching methods accordingly. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to track student progress and adjust strategies as necessary. Experience A minimum of 3 years of tutoring or teaching experience. Experience in special education is highly desirable, along with knowledge of classroom management techniques. Familiarity with common FUSD textbooks such as Big Ideas Algebra, Big Ideas Geometry, Springboard Math.
