We are seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and dependable part-time elementary Mandarin tutor to tutor our elementary-level students during our fall and spring semesters. We seek an educator who is proactive, resourceful, and eager to help build a high level of proficiency in Chinese. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who takes pride in ownership, responds promptly, consistently meets deadlines, and works closely with administrators to help students achieve outstanding Chinese language proficiency in both written and spoken forms. Job Title Mandarin Elementary Tutor Team Supervisor Program Director and Assistant Program Director Job Terms $30.00 to $50.00 based on experience. Monday to Friday, 3:30 to 5:30 pm. To be considered, educators should have
B.A./B.S.
degree from an accredited college or university Valid CA Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (preferred but not required) Bilingual Authorization or BCLAD in Mandarin Chinese (preferred but not required) Valid working status in the U.S. (Work visa sponsorship may be possible.) At least two years of experience teaching elementary-level students Fluency in writing, speaking, and communicating in Mandarin and English Our ideal educator will collaborate effectively with students and families and consistently bring their best self to enrich the program. Ideal Educator Attributes A background in Chinese language, education, linguistics, or a related field, and advanced degrees are a plus Experience teaching Chinese to non-native speakers Comfort with developing lesson plans and creating engaging, culturally rich classroom experiences Familiarity with using technology and digital tools to support learning A genuine appreciation for Chinese culture and a desire to share it with students Friendly, organized, and a good communicator- someone who enjoys working with others and supporting students' growth A flexible and open-minded attitude and a passion View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications To apply, educators should submit the following documents.
