The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in physics, experience teaching or tutoring, and a commitment to helping students excel.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring in General Physics, Honors Physics, and AP Physics (1, 2, and C). Develop customized lesson plans tailored to students' needs and curriculum. Explain complex physics concepts, equations, and problem-solving strategies in a clear and engaging manner. Assist students with homework, lab reports, and preparation for tests, quizzes, and AP exams. Foster an encouraging and interactive learning environment to build students' confidence. Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Stay updated on curriculum changes, educational best practices, and AP Physics exam formats.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of high school physics curriculum, including AP Physics 1, 2, and C. Prior teaching or tutoring experience in physics, preferably at the high school or college level. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for helping students succeed. Availability for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with AP Physics exam structure and scoring guidelines. Experience with hands-on demonstrations and physics lab techniques. Knowledge of different learning styles and the ability to tailor lessons accordingly. Strong organizational and time-management skills.Job Types:
