After School Academic Tutor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Academic Tutor to support students in their learning journey. This role involves working with children of various ages to reinforce classroom concepts, foster a positive learning environment, and help students achieve academic success. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and experience working with children. Duties Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions in various subjects aligned with curriculum standards Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance instruction Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents as appropriate Manage classroom behavior to create a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment Assist students with homework, assignments, and test preparation Implement classroom management strategies to maintain discipline and focus during sessions Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success Incorporate special education strategies when working with students requiring additional support Foster a positive attitude toward learning and encourage student motivation Skills Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning techniques Experience with learning technology tools and educational software Proven tutoring or teaching experience, especially with children or in early childhood education Classroom management skills to effectively oversee student behavior Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds, including special education needs Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet individual student needs Childcare or preschool experience is a plus for working with younger children Experience working with students in early childhood or elementary settings is highly desirable Ability to create an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes positive learning experiences Schedule and License Monday - Friday 1:30-3:30 (or more) Must have
