Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Math Tutor to inspire students and foster a love for mathematics. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work flexibly with learners of various ages, for elementary, middle school and high school students, helping them achieve their academic goals. As a Math Tutor, you will deliver engaging lessons, tailor instruction to individual needs, and utilize innovative learning technology to make math accessible and enjoyable. Your expertise will empower students to build confidence in subjects like algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and more, ensuring they excel in their studies and develop critical thinking skills. Responsibilities Deliver engaging in person (or limited online instruction positions available) using various learning technology tools to enhance understanding Assist students with test preparation tutoring across a range of math topics and difficulty levels Provide clear explanations of complex concepts such algebra, geometry, and advanced algebra Support students in science tutoring areas including chemistry, biology, physiology, anatomy, economics and related fields Manage classroom dynamics effectively during sessions with grade 5-12 students while maintaining a positive learning environment Skills Strong knowledge of math subjects including algebra, geometry, middle school math and pre-calc./SAT prep. Proficiency with learning technology platforms such as Zoom for online instruction Excellent tutoring skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and patiently Familiarity with education practices and working with students requiring additional support Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with students and parents to foster academic growth Join us in making a difference by helping learners unlock their full potential through engaging math instruction.
