Tutors work with students in foundational math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra 1 in a supportive environment. Flexible scheduling is available, and tutors can choose the number of hours they want to work. Duties Deliver engaging 1 on 1 and small group tutoring sessions focused on core math topics including arithmetic, modelling with word problems, algebra, and more. Utilize various learning technologies and digital tools to create interactive and effective lessons. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to maximize understanding. Support students with classroom management techniques to foster a positive and focused learning environment. Work with students of diverse backgrounds, including those in special education or requiring additional support in STEM subjects. Qualifications Proven experience in tutoring or working with elementary/middle school education students in math-related subjects up to Algebra 1. Familiarity with learning technology platforms and computer skills for virtual or hybrid tutoring sessions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children and young adults. Background in STEM or education fields such as engineering, pure science, teaching pedagogy, computer science, or related disciplines is a plus.
