Tutors work with students in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus in a supportive environment. Ability to tutor Physics, Chemistry, and/or Biology is a plus. Flexible scheduling is available, and tutors can choose the number of hours they want to work. Duties Deliver engaging 1 on 1 and small group tutoring sessions focused on core math topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and more. Utilize various learning technologies and digital tools to create interactive and effective lessons. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to maximize understanding. Support students with classroom management techniques to foster a positive and focused learning environment. Work with students of diverse backgrounds, including those in special education or requiring additional support in STEM subjects. Qualifications Proven experience in tutoring or teaching high school or higher education students in math-related subjects such as algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Calculus and statistics are preferred; sciences such as physics and chemistry are a plus. Familiarity with learning technology platforms and computer skills for virtual or hybrid tutoring sessions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children and young adults. Background in STEM fields such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, microbiology, biochemistry, or related disciplines is a plus.
