Job Description

Private Tutor Avenir - 3.2 Newport Coast, CA Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $70,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications English Math Bachelor's degree Working with students In-home experience Full Job Description Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated academic tutor to join our core team. You will work with our students Monday through Friday during afternoon and evening hours, providing subject-matter support, homework assistance, and study skills coaching in a structured, home-based environment. This is not a traditional tutoring role. You will work with the same five students across an entire academic year, building real relationships and watching them grow academically and personally. Duties Provide academic support to a cohort of five high school students Assist with homework, test preparation, and subject comprehension across core disciplines Build consistent, trust-based relationships with students to support their academic confidence Communicate with program leadership regarding student progress and needs Contribute to a structured, focused study environment within a residential setting Adapt support style to each student's learning needs and school curriculum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher; education, subject-specific, or related field preferred Prior tutoring, teaching, or academic mentorship experience Strong knowledge in one or more core high school subjects (math, science, English, history, or test prep) Reliable, punctual, and professional — this is a consistent, year-long commitment Warm, patient communicator who genuinely enjoys working with high school students Why This Role Most tutoring work is fragmented — new students, different schedules, inconsistent hours. This role is different. You will be part of a small, intentional team working in a premium environment with the same students all year. If you are looking for meaningful, stable work where you can actually see the impact of what you do, this is it. How To Apply We would love to learn more about you. Please email us at or apply with your resume and a brief note about your subject expertise and experience working with high school students. Qualified candidates will be invited to a short 20-minute introductory call.
