Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
~ High school diploma or equivalent. ~ One (1) year of paid or volunteer experience working with children in a special educational setting or child care setting is highly desirable and/or supplement by courses in child care, supervision, psychology or guidance; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. ~
Requirements:
a) Verification of two years of college and/or 48 semester units demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing the core areas of reading, writing, and mathematics b) Possession of an Associate's Degree or possession of a Bachelor's Degree demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing the core areas of reading, writing, and mathematics c) If the applicant does not have a or b listed above then they must Pass the District Paraprofessional proficiency examination (which is a formal state or local academic assessment).

Interested applicants are required to submit the following: ~ Apply via EdJoin ~ Copy of High school diploma or equivalent. ~ Copy of Standard CPR and First aid certification ~ Copy of college transcripts to verify two years of college and/or 48 semester units; or possession of an Associate's Degree or possession of a Bachelor's Degree demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing the core areas of reading, writing, and mathematics ~ If you have taken the exam for Paraprofessionals exam with a passing score of 70% within the last two years, Human Resources will verify your testing score and you will not need to take the District exam for this position. (Testing scores are good for two years from the original testing date.)
