Diversified Education Services is seeking an experienced special education teacher or learning specialist to provide one-on-one executive function coaching in Greenwich and Fairfield County, CT during the 2026-27 school year. Sessions take place in students' homes or at mutually agreed-upon locations such as libraries. Most sessions are scheduled after school and in the early evening. About the Work Many of the students we work with are bright and capable but struggle to consistently translate what they know into action. They may have difficulty with organization, planning, time management, task initiation, prioritization, studying, managing assignments, or following through independently. Many also have ADHD, learning disabilities, or other learning differences. Our proprietary approach combines a relationship-based model with evidence-based educational practices. We believe evidence-based strategies are essential, but strategies alone are often not enough. Effective coaching starts with understanding the individual student and developing the trust and connection necessary for that student to engage, take ownership, and consistently put those strategies into practice. We are therefore looking for educators who are as skilled at connecting with students as they are at teaching them. Qualifications Special education teaching certification required Master's degree in special education or a related field of education preferred Experience working with middle school, high school, and/or college-aged students Strong understanding of executive functioning and ADHD Expertise in organization, planning, time management, task initiation, prioritization, study skills, and academic follow-through Experience supporting reading and writing is strongly preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Professional, dependable, and comfortable communicating with families Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment Willingness to travel to students within Greenwich and nearby Fairfield County towns Compensation and Contractor Structure Compensation is $85-$100 per hour, depending on experience, credentials, and areas of expertise. Higher rates may be available for certain specialized assignments. We are selective about the educators we bring onto our team and seek experienced professionals who combine educational expertise with an exceptional ability to build relationships with students. Coaches work with Diversified Education Services as independent contractors. Contractors control their availability and instructional methods, are responsible for their own taxes, and are free to maintain other employment and private clients.

Pay:
