Who Tutors provides remote and in-person tutoring for most K-12 subjects, and specializes in SSAT and ISEE admissions tests. Who Tutors was established in 2019 by a teacher at Ransom Everglades (Florida's #1 private school) who saw a need for more individualized support. Test Preparation Tutor Test Prep Tutor:
We are looking for a Tutor for our Miami, FL location.
Job Responsibilities:
Schedule ongoing tutoring sessions on Tutor Cruncher software, be on site prior to session and be prepared for the day's lesson Create or utilize educational materials to demonstrate the subject matter covered in lessons Complete regular feedback forms to help WhoTutors and parents track student's progress Create lesson plans to engage students with different learning styles and abilities Follow up with parents to close the loop on student's progress and improvement opportunities Encourage students towards high standards of behavior to produce academic success WHO we need: A passion for helping students develop a growth mindset, and thrive within it Reside within the Miami area, and be willing to drive within it for lessons Previous tutoring experience, or working with children (summer camps, teaching, sports lessons etc.) Practical and theoretical understanding of the tutoring subject matter Knowledge of
SSAT/ISEE
standards and previous experience tutoring this is a plus Comfort communicating with and understanding students grades 4-8 if tutoring
SSAT/ISEE
Knowledge of SAT/ACT standards and previous experience tutoring this is a plus Ability to show previous SAT/ACT scores Be adaptable, a self-starter, and able to engage with students in a fun and creative way Sense of humor is a plus!
