FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TEACHING CERTIFICATE REQUIRED

•We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students of various ages and backgrounds. This role involves working with struggling readers in grades K-2, utilizing effective evidence based programs and instructional materials , while supporting students in achieving their academic goals. The Tutor will work closely with individuals or small groups, adapting instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles of each student. Provide individualized Science of Reading instruction and Orton-Gillingham. Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention of material. Utilize learning technology and resources to enhance the educational experience. Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes student confidence and motivation. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to support student development. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with administrative team regarding achievements and areas for improvement. Requirements Proven experience in education or tutoring, particularly with children or adults in various educational settings. Knowledge of special education strategies, early childhood education practices, and preschool curriculum development is highly desirable. Familiarity with learning technology tools that enhance the tutoring experience. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively. A patient demeanor with a genuine passion for educating others and helping them succeed academically. Ability to work flexible hours based on student availability. Pay:

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
