The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and be able to communicate effectively with students and families of different ages and learning styles. This role requires a passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. Tutors choose their own hours and must be willing to work in Martin County. This job requires an active FLDOE teaching certificate in or 6-12 Mathematics. Duties Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in high school math subjects, including Algebra 2 and Geometry. Develop customized lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of each student. Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention of material. Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student engagement and confidence. Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and areas for improvement. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Experience Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is required. Deep knowledge of high school math concepts, including Algebra 2 and Geometry. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
