$75 per session At Courtside Homeschool Academy, we take pride in providing a personalized and quality tutoring experience for our students. As such, we are searching for teachers who are truly passionate about their craft, and their students. It is a must that our teachers are comfortable building trust and rapport with students. Teachers should be adaptable and comfortable in a 1-on-1 setting . The ideal teacher is ambitious, entrepreneurial-minded, and able to cultivate a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. ! Duties & Responsibilities Build strong rapport with both students and parents Prepare materials, facilitate lessons, and assess learning objectives Exercise open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, and supervisors Evaluate student progress and prepare reports to communicate growth and achievement, as well as areas for improvement. Create and keep records on attendance, accidents, incidents, and other noteworthy events in accordance with licensing guidelines and program policies Provide a safe and respectful environment for all students Employ professional judgment to adapt and modify curriculum as necessary to meet the needs and learning style of each student Willingness to loop from one grade level to the next to remain with student(s), provided the family agrees it is a good fit Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Teaching credential/certificate/license for corresponding age/grade level/subject area Minimum of one year of teaching experience Minimum of one year virtual learning experience Highly developed oral and written communication skills Ability to build relationships effectively and professionally with families and students Experience developing and implementing curriculum Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, stoop, bend, and move throughout the room Key Competencies Self-motivated Skilled communicator Detail-oriented & Problem-solver Decision-maker & Critical thinker Prepared and organized Flexible and adaptable
