Job Description
The part time Anatomy & Physiology Tutor is responsible for conducting tutoring sessions with Ivy Tech students face-to-face, virtually, and asynchronously
Major Responsibilities:
- Provides individualized and group tutoring in a manner that empowers students to become independent, successful learners.
- Provides tutoring in Ivy Tech courses with special concentrations in science, technology, and/or math, including remedial mathematics, advanced mathematics, chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology, accounting, business applications, and other technology fields.
- Teaches and assists students in the use of computer software.
- Guides and instructs students in the use of software programs and/or web-based applications directly related to Ivy Tech coursework.
- Maintains tutoring records for each student.
- Interacts with instructors as to student needs, topics tutored, course changes, and new text book adoptions.

None Minimum Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree preferred in mathematics, science or related field.
- Computer literacy and knowledge in word processing programs required.
- Possess a working understanding of college level skills needed by students.
- Ability to exercise important human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with college students.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Knows and is able to utilize training provided in tutoring several Ivy Tech Courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
Tutoring or teaching experience at the adult level.Other Requirements:

Work Hours:
Tutoring center hours are set to reflect the needs of the students, which can include days, nights, and virtual availability. The hourly pay for this position is $17.25.
