Job Description:
Provide specialized tutoring on content specific to the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program. The OTA program teaches the practices, techniques, and equipment needed to help patients of all ages take part in educational, vocational, and leisure skills. Expert faculty and hands-on clinical experience will prepare our students to complete an associate degree and take the national certification exam. Principal Responsibilities and Duties Provide tutoring for courses in the field of Occupational Therapy to a multicultural student population based on the department's approved course learning outcomes, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies appropriate to the needs of community college students and the standards of the discipline. Provide individualized and/or small-group tutoring to students enrolled in OTA program courses. Assess student learning needs and develop targeted tutoring plans to address identified academic gaps in the OTA courses. Monitor student progress and maintain documentation of tutoring sessions, attendance, and outcomes as required. Remain current in the field through a variety of professional development activities. Collaborate with OTA faculty to identify common areas of student difficulty and align tutoring support with course learning outcomes. Pay Rate $34.60/hr Up to 19 hours per week
