These positions are paid from ESS allocations and is funded for

the 2026-2027 school year only.

WAIVER Announcement:

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Bullitt County Public Schools is requesting a waiver to fill this position before the standard 15-day posting period to ensure we are fully staffed for the upcoming school year. Bullitt Central High School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to serve as an ESS (Extended School Services) Daytime Waiver Instructional Tutor. This position focuses on working with individual or small groups of students during the school day to provide targeted academic interventions and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide small group academic interventions in reading and/or math

Follow instructional plans developed by classroom teachers and intervention teams

Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation

Analyze student data to monitor growth and adjust support as needed

Report student progress to teachers and leadership teams

Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet individual student needs

Support a positive and encouraging learning environment

Position Details Hours:

1.5 hours per day

Contract Length:

174 days per year

Contract Adjustments:

Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date

Employment Status:

Part time (not eligible for benefits)

Employment Type:

10-month employee on the classified pay schedule

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:
Must meet one of the following:

48 college semester hours

An Associate's Degree OR

High school diploma plus a passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment Exam.

Documentation:

Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.

Compensation & Experience Credit

2026-2027 Pay Scale

Starting Pay (Step 0): $16.46/hour Experienced Pay (Step 10): $20.26/hour
