DESCRIPTION
Millbury Junior-Senior High School is seeking a qualified and dynamic ELA/Reading Tutor to support student learning in grades 7-12. The ideal candidate will hold a valid MA DESE license in ELA (5-8 or 9-12) or Middle School Humanities (5-8), with dual or additional certifications preferred. The tutor will deliver small-group and individual instruction within general education classrooms, using engaging, multi-sensory, and data-informed strategies to support diverse learners. Strong content knowledge, communication skills, and a commitment to collaboration with classroom teachers, instructional coaches, school leaders, and families are essential. Candidates with experience in UDL, MTSS, and culturally responsive practices are strongly encouraged to apply. Bilingualism in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus. Responsibilities include monitoring student progress, analyzing data to inform instruction, aligning lessons with curriculum goals, and participating in school-based meetings to enhance both academic and extracurricular programs. QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of MA DESE license in the area of Math (9 - 12), Middle School Math and Science (5-8), or Math (5-8)
Dual certifications, and/or additional certifications, are also preferred.

Experience in planning, directing, and assisting group and individual instructional activities that are engaging and multi-sensory
Strong Math content and practice skills to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Strong communication skills and a background in working with parents/guardians as partners in the educational process
The ability to accommodate diverse learning styles with an understanding of the myriad ways information is delivered.
Experience utilizing the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) preferred
Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) preferred, but not required

GENERAL DUTIES
Provide multiple instructional and engagement strategies in a classroom environment to meet the needs of all learning styles
Function as an effective multi-disciplinary team member and collaborate with classroom teachers, Instructional Coach, Building Principal, and the Director of Curriculum.
Analyze individual student data and use that information to develop measurable goals, objectives, and corresponding lessons/units
Responsible for progress monitoring students and using this data to inform instruction.
Apply appropriate knowledge to curriculum content/instruction, plan lessons, and align assessment of student learning while monitoring students' understanding of the curriculum and adjusting instruction, materials, or assessments, using data-driven techniques, as appropriate
Participate in related school meetings which are held for the purpose of improving both curricula and extracurricular activities, including but not limited to Parents' Night programs, release time, and other scheduled meetings as deemed necessary.
Collaborate with the various school-based departments to support and address student needs
Provide small group and individual instruction in the general education classroom, primarily in the area of mathematics.
Perform other professional duties as outlined and requested by the building Principal
SALARY:
$30 per hour (Per Contract)
