In-Home Sessions in Wakefield, MA Overview Thrive Education Partners is seeking an exceptional educator to support an elementary-aged homeschool student in Wakefield, Massachusetts through highly personalized, relationship-driven literacy and writing instruction. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced educator who loves individualized learning, believes deeply in child-centered education, and excels at making learning engaging, meaningful, and developmentally responsive. The student is bright, curious, imaginative, and highly relationship-oriented. The family is seeking a warm, creative educator who can help build strong foundational writing and literacy skills through engaging, personalized instruction that sparks confidence and genuine connection to learning. The student especially gravitates toward topics like animals, nature, and space, and would benefit from a tutor who can naturally weave student interests into instruction. This is not a traditional homework-help role. We are looking for an educator who can thoughtfully assess present skill levels, create engaging literacy experiences, build routines and momentum around writing, and collaborate closely with a highly involved homeschool parent. Responsibilities Provide in-home one-on-one literacy and writing instruction Design engaging, individualized ELA lessons tailored to the student Support foundational writing development in a positive, encouraging way Incorporate student interests into reading and writing activities Build strong rapport and create a calm, emotionally safe learning environment Collaborate with parent regarding goals, progress, and instructional planning Track session notes and communicate professionally with families and team leadershipIdeal Candidates Should Have Experience In:
Elementary education Reading and writing instruction Homeschool education Literacy intervention Child-centered or project-based learning Differentiated instruction Executive functioning support for younger learners Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Teaching experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of early literacy and writing development Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to create engaging, personalized lessons independently Reliable transportation for in-home sessions Schedule Current preferred windows include Tuesday afternoons and/or Thursdays anytime.
