Job Description

ABA Tutor 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars The Roderick Elementary School is looking for a full-time ABA tutor in 4-6 classroom settings to work with individual students to support their social, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs. Under the supervision and direction of the special education teacher, the ABA Tutor will:
  • Provide direct support of students within an ABA-based program
  • either 1:1 or shared between 2-3 students
  • Facilitate inclusion support and assist students with accessing general education curriculum
  • Implement behavioral, social and academic programs per students' IEPs / ABA programs
  • Collect data; assist in creating graphs, data sheets, materials, visual supports, and activity schedules as neededSupervision and on-going training will be provided by a special education teacher and BCBA.Salaried school year position
  • may include additional compensation for daily programming time, and/or a 5 week summer program, depending on individual student needs.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Previous training in ABA methodology and behavioral strategies-At least one year of supervised ABA experience
  • Physically able to become certified in CALM non-violent crisis prevention model (training will be provided
  • Strong desire to work with children with autism and/or social-behavioral difficulties
