Immediately Job Description The Delaney Elementary School has an opening for an ABA tutor OR an instructional/behavioral paraprofessional. Under the supervision and direction of the special education teacher, the ABA tutor or instructional/behavioral paraprofessional will:
  • Provide direct support of students within an ABA-based program
  • either 1:1 or shared between 2-3 students if appropriate.
  • Facilitate inclusion support and assist students with accessing general education curriculum as appropriate
  • Implement behavioral, social and academic programs per student IEPs
  • Collect data, assist in creating graphs, data sheets, materials, visual supports, and activity schedules as needed
  • Assist in maintaining a consistent, structured, positive learning environment
  • Establish appropriate, respectful rapport with students, and maintain student confidentiality
  • Demonstrate empathy, respect, and understanding of individual learning differences and diversity
  • Provide accommodations, modifications, and strategies to improve student behavior and learning as indicated on their IEPsBe Consultation and on-going training will be provided by a special education teacher and/or BCBA.
This is a salaried school year position (6.75 hours paid per day) for 181 school days. Additional compensation for a 5 week summer program may also be available. Hourly pay rate ranges from $25.61
