Job Description
Job Function Provide tutoring services and testing assistance to MCC students. Job Responsibilities Tutor students in specific subject areas in group, online and individualized settings. Interface with faculty to ensure appropriate delivery of tutoring services. Maintain accurate student tutoring records. Conduct classroom visits and tours to inform students about services. Assist with testing, including administering, monitoring, and reading/scribing exams to students. Provide information to students and the community about the tutoring program. Provide ADA accommodations, as prescribed, for Special Needs students. Research and facilitate implementation of various types of adaptive technology. Implement Learning Center policies and procedures. Maintain order in the Learning Center, Testing Room and Computer Lab. Provide support to Learning Center Assistants as required. Represent MCC to the community. Facilitate information between departments. Participate in departmental trainings. Perform related duties as assigned. Education Must have some college education. Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 and an A or B in the subject area to be tutored. Qualifications Must have proven subject area expertise. Faculty recommendation preferred.
