For over 40 years, we've helped millions of students achieve new levels of academic success. Sylvan Learning Center of Dearborn is hiring for part-time teaching/tutoring positions. Sylvan creates individualized learning plans for students of all abilities. Working with groups of three to four students, you will be responsible for leading instruction and motivating students to be successful. There is no lesson plan to create, no homework to grade, no parent-conferencing, and scheduling is flexible. Enjoy all of the benefits of teaching, without any of the downsides! Experience with elementary and middle school reading and math (grades K-8) students required. We require ONE of the following: Applicant is enrolled in an Alternative Certification Program Applicant has teaching experience that does not require certification, such as teaching in private school or in institution of higher education Bachelor's degree State level teaching certification preferred What you get in return: Shifts are available Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. No lesson planning or parent conferences. Focus on making a difference, our directors handle all scheduling, conferences, and planning.
