Key responsibilities also include providing day-to-day care—for example, assisting with toileting and personal needs for students with cognitive impairments—helping ensure each learner receives the support they require.

Qualifications include:

At least 60 semester hours of college credit, or an associate degree (or higher), OR a passing score on the ETS Parapro Assessment (minimum 460), OR SAT scores of at least 480 in evidence-based reading/writing and 530 in math. A copy of your official university transcripts is required before being presented to the district. Dedication to working with students of all ages and abilities. Flexibility to be placed wherever need is greatest in Flint-area schools.

Day-to-day duties:

Provide instructional and non-instructional classroom support. Assist students with personal and educational needs.
