Classroom Aide | Lapeer, Michigan Job DescriptionJob Description Step into a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity supporting students for the 2026-2027 school year in the Grand Blanc area. This school-based paraprofessional role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference working one-on-one with students across all grade levels. You may be placed in settings ranging from mild/moderate general education classrooms to specialized resource rooms and self-contained classes serving students with cognitive or emotional impairments. Success in this assignment requires flexibility in caseload and environment, as you could be assisting students with a wide spectrum of needs-including personal care duties similar to a health aide, such as toileting and diapering for those with significant cognitive impairments. Hours are full-time at 37.5 per week; daily schedules may vary slightly by assigned location, generally between 7:15am-3:15pm or 8:15am-4:15pm. What we're seeking: At least 60 semester hours of college credit (must provide official university transcripts prior to consideration) OR an associate degree or higher OR an ETS Parapro Assessment score of 460 or above OR College Board SAT scores: at least 480 in Evidence-Based Reading/Writing and 530 in Math Experience or interest in supporting students with a range of needs, including severe, resource, and general education classrooms Willingness to perform personal care and support duties as needed throughout the school day Ability to adapt to changing classroom and caseload assignments Strong communication and collaboration skills Competitive pay between $37 and $45 per hour accompanies this contract role, along with the unique chance to support students' growth and independence.
