Part-time. Hours vary and may include evenings and weekends.

Classification:

Limited Term Contract.

Wage:

$25.00 per hour.

FLSA Status:

Non-exempt, hourly.

Job Summary:

Tutors are provided to assist students in understanding educational materials and provide support in areas needed to be successful in their classes. This includes group or individual tutoring as well as understanding the specific needs of each student.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide supplemental instruction for academic support of SC4 students through individual and/or small group tutoring sessions as assigned. Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions. Ensure delivery of accommodations for established disability services. Facilitate student questions and answers, assisting students with instruction directions, clarifying confusion for students based on instructor's directions, collection and distribution of class material. Provide note taking assistance as assigned. Provide reading assistance as assigned. Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and faculty. Perform other duties as assigned.

Manager of Tutoring and Testing.

Supervision Given:

None.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree required. Experience related to subject matter required. Previous instruction or tutoring experience preferred.
