Job Description

TRIO Upward Bound is seeking an Academic Tutor to support TRIO high school participants who are low-income, first-generation, and college bound. Tutors will provide academic support in core curriculum areas, including: Math Science English Foreign Language Other subject areas as needed Tutoring will be conducted in small groups or classroom settings.

Tutors are expected to:

Maintain accurate documentation (e.g., tutoring logs) Communicate regularly with the

TRIO Upward Bound Director and Educational Advisor Skills Needed:

Strong ability to connect and build rapport with students from diverse, multicultural backgrounds Ability to work independently and manage assigned duties responsibly Professionalism in working with school counselors, teachers, and TRIO staff Reliability and commitment to regular scheduling

Work Schedule:

Tutoring sessions will take place twice a week on: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or

Thursdays Time:

3:30 PM - 5:30

PM Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree or 60+ college credit hours At least 1 year of experience tutoring students in TRIO or other federally funded educational programs

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject area At least 1 year of experience tutoring in school settings
