Reports to:

Building Administrator Purpose :

To supplement reading and/or math instruction to academically at-risk students in grades K-5

Qualifications :

Ability to relate to children with special needs; ability to provide instructional activities in collaboration with teacher Some college training preferable.

Minimum education requirements are:

48 semester hours which include core courses with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from an accredited institution; OR Associate Degree or higher with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from an accredited institution; OR WorkKeys testing in Math

• (min score 4); Reading
• (min score 4); and Writing
• (min score 3).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide supplemental instruction to academically at-risk students in grades K-5 to provide reinforcement of reading and/or math skills. Collaborate with classroom teacher to prepare lessons, materials, and activities that supplements classroom reading and/or math instruction for academically at-risk students.
