Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit Description of Work Under the supervision of the Director of Upward Bound, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
- Collaborate and follow instructions as delegated by the Director
- Enforce program policies and procedures, carry out disciplinary procedures, and report situations to the Coordinator as necessary
- Maintain proper documentation
- Assist with administering pre-assessments and post-assessments to the participants
- Assist with ensuring that student accommodations as designated by 504/ IEP are followed
- Assist with creating Individualized Educations Plans for each participant (update on a consistent basis)
- Assist with recording and tracking the progress of each participant
- Assist instructors with planning or conducting activities
- Provide small group or one-on-one tutoring in Mathematics, Science, English, or Spanish
- Conduct activities and workshops for the program participants as directed by the Director per the needs of the students
- Identify resources for participant use that will ensure academic, personal, and social development
- Monitor students in the classroom setting, during meals, and in other settings
- Conduct one-on-one or group counseling sessions
- Serve as a chaperone for trips/activities
- Conduct self in a professional manner and be positive for students
- Assist with creating a positive learning environment for students
- Attend staff meetings
- Complete other assigned tasks or duties
- Complete and submit reports and other documents, to include timesheets on the requested date or time.
