Migrant Education Program, Part-time in-school tutorSALARY GRADE
Hourly rate of payNATURE OF WORK
An employee in this position is required to tutor/assist MEP students in school. After receiving the students' list and information, this employee may be assigned to visit the school where MEP students are located or conduct home visits for students who need support sessions at home. The employee in this position will log hours spent in-school or in-home sessions and must submit a blue timesheet with signatures and dates for review and approval. Close collaboration with the MEP coordinator and staff is required to plan, check in & check out needed materials for sessions. A part-time tutor in this position performs his/her duties under supervision and reports to the program coordinator.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Additional Duties may be assigned. Get to know the MEP students and their academic needs. Meet with the MEP staff to arrange home visits for MEP students. Organize and keep records of pre- and post-testing materials for students.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals consistent with the duties of this position. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from program administrators and staff consistent with the duties of this position.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Language Skills- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the program coordinator, parents, and the general public. Mathematical Skills
- Ability to work with basic mathematical operations concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Reasoning
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills
- Familiarity with basic computer operations and software. Ability to operate the Google Drive platform and integrate technology in at-home instruction. Work Environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must frequently walk and use fingers, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. Specific visual abilities this job requires include close vision, color vision, and depth perception. Occasionally, the employee will lift up to 50 lbs., such as to lift files and paper. Educational Teaching License (Required) Bachelor's Degree Bilingual Required- Spanish
