In this role, you will deliver engaging, effective test preparation instruction •in person•around Bergen County and Passaic County, NJ, at students' homes or at our center in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Your enthusiasm for helping students excel, in concert with the world-class training you'll receive from owner Scott Doty, will inspire confidence and foster academic growth. Session work is available 7 days a week, offering tremendous schedule flexibility. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' futures while honing your teaching skills among a vibrant team of educational experts. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive SAT and ACT Verbal test preparation courses through in-person tutoring sessions, ensuring clarity and engagement. Develop and adapt lesson plans that incorporate test-taking strategies, curriculum standards, and educational technology tools to meet diverse student needs. Assess student progress regularly through formative assessments and adjust instruction accordingly to maximize learning outcomes. Collaborate with parents, school counselors, and other educators to track student progress and recommend additional resources or support as needed. Requirements/Preferences Experience in SAT/ACT test preparation tutoring or course instruction with a strong understanding of standardized testing formats is PREFERRED, not required. A Bachelor's degree required. Prior teaching experience working with high school students or teenagers in classroom or private tutoring settings required. Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and engagingly. High EQ and ability to adapt to the energies and styles of different students.
